Taiji Hagino: Today, I'd like to talk about the Japanese type developerizations like as as a system integrator. About me, my name is Taish Hagino. They're from Tokyo. My company is Mitsui Energy Industry as a system integrator. I'm a software engineer for mobile application and web application and IoT solutions.
I have some events as an organizer. First one is front end engineers' TikToks, and second one is mobile application workshop, iOS consortium, and Node RED user group. Node RED. Yeah. And last one is developer relations meet up in Tokyo.
Organizer is Moon Gift as a sponsor of this event. How do you think about Japan? I can tell you about Japan developer relations. I think almost developers here already know how developers doing dev rep in each countries. But Japanese situation has never been now, I think.
What is the specific Japan level activities? What kind of a country? Japan. And what is different bitterliness? There are four things I'd like to cover today.
Japanese culture, system integrator, just Japanese word t p o. It's Japanese English. And Japan system integrators type developer relations. What about Japanese culture? Japan is like America or England.
Which do you think? Who think America? Really? Who think England? Yeah.
Yeah. Probably England, I think. Because we have island nation, we have a great ocean, and traditional hierarchy like a pyramid. Yeah. And a proud history.
They have king and queen and chess. And we have emperor, Japanese chess, shogi. Yeah. And a good tea. English tea is good.
I like it. And also Japanese tea is very good, green tea. Yeah. Anyway, Japanese character. These words from Japan Today.
It's a website, kind of a website. Pride, punctual, kind, hardworking, respectful, shy, intelligent, grouping, formal, clean. It's just for I'm moving over. Moving, yeah. Exactly.
These four words is important for developer relations, I think. Alright. You have already got Japanese character. Congrats. Second, system integrated in Japan.
What is the system integrator? These are described from reference Wikipedia. But I think system integrator is we are also system integrator. We're basically gathering any services and any products and integrated and provide for our customers and our clients. So the 50% of revenue from consulting, almost less 15% of revenue from IT consultant and doing system design and programming and assumption like that.
We call in Japan, we call system integrator SI. Yeah. SI. In Japan, system integrator is called basically SIER. We often have LSTK contract project for all of ICT system for enterprise.
We are basically system integrated as a project management layer, not doing making a programming and so testing and these are provided from by our partner company. What is the user's SIR? We have any types SIR, that the user, SIR, makers, SIR, not depends. But we are user SI. User SI is basically spin out company from enterprise.
For example, general trading company, bank company, financial company or some etcetera. They are to change cost center to profit center. It almost has group companies project for our business. It's our company, MKI. MKI is Meteorology Industry.
Meteorology Industry is subsidiary for ICT strategy of Mitsui company. Mitsui company is a general trading company. We are just ICT strategist and making enterprise system. And actually, we had many m one to a. And m one a and m one a and m one a, it's now current machine energy industry.
So we have three business domain. One is system integration. Second is our platform integration. And last one is we have data center and cloud services. We have lots of solution for several industry.
You can see the retail, financial networks, real estate, medical and health care, environmental and energy, communication, IT infrastructure. On group network, we have a few branches all overseas. One of is in London. And we have a advanced technology center. We call the ACT.
I sorry, ATC. If I can make a range the ACT tour, ATC tour for you guys if you come to Japan. And I calculate takes of Japan SI. We have no fit operation to package system. It means almost Japanese enterprise don't like to change their existing operations.
So in lots of cases, they have a customized package enterprise system as fitting their network, their working operations. And conservative Japanese enterprise, very conservative. They don't like to change the they like to stay legacy, legacy operations, legacy system. We know we know it's the best solution for changes new technology, but our clients as enterprise company don't like to change because of the they don't like get risks. Yeah.
That's why need us as a SI, engineers, enterprise insider, 25 person on all of the engineers in Japan. Right? Other one is a system integrator, platformer, product maker, others. Alright. You have already been familiar with Japanese SI.

If you come to Japan, you can find easy, Lots of system engineers wearing suits and tie. They have to act not only as engineer, but also like a businessman. Need to talk with customer as a typical businessman like a manager or consultant, anytime. SIR, System Integrator, right? SIR, venture, startup and freelance.
Almost people casual in tech conference and workshops, but SIR almost wearing suits and tie. Maybe they love coach and tie. Yeah. You have already known Japan TPO. Congrats.

DevRel is kind of activities for supporting connection relation between your own services, product, and external developers. Own services, products. SAI has original products, services. SAA has Yeah, we don't have them. Yeah.
Actually, we have original services. My boss yelled at me. Yeah, okay. To have original own products like a maker, right? And to have ROI and integration like us, it's I think like a supermarket.
Develop relations of public relations, a SAR like us should advertise whole values of our company, industry knowledge, ICT techniques and knowledge, integrated solutions, influence growth, ICT industry, business development. We are just developers. Also, I am developer. So advertised as developer's view. Okay.
Why I say has advantage? I think three things, not depend product services, knowledge of specific industry, and whole of techniques. Not depend products and services. We can compare several products and services because we are not maker. Knowledge of a specific industry.
We can work in specific industry same as enterprise employee. And the whole of techniques. Can provide a whole of techniques solutions anytime. Lots of industry, for lots of industry, and we have to provide infrastructure and networks and software and security and anymore. So Evangelist of SIA is for just company, I think.
In my case, I am a mobile specialist. That's why I sometimes talk about mobile techniques of our company in several events at conferences and workshops. Now, we should do for DevRel, organizer of ICT event, tech talks and more, educator of for young engineers and the developers for improves. Attendee of Hakushen as ICT specialist anymore. Alright.

Second, do localized, customized for Japanese users. Get get great developer relations in Japan. And last one, find good business partner as SIR. SIR as machine learning industry. Okay.
